Thrilled when lifestyle marketing became a recognized discipline, Richman’s interdisciplinary, taste-making track record inspired her to launch HRMP Lifestyle Marketing & Promotion in 2002, as a way to provide a 360 degree brand/band/retail/technology interface. A firm believer in “Blue Ocean Strategy“, it was with HRMP that she honed her trademark initiatives that marry singular brick and mortar experiences to much larger audiences in non-traditional spaces. She built upon the success she had in the late 90’s as the “first lady of the Swing revival”, when she wore every hat conceivable: band manager (Indigo Swing), tour packager (The Camel Caravan), compilation executive producer (House of Blues Swings), & business development innovator– building co-branded deals for herself & Indigo Swing across the category spectrum. She made khaki’s “Swing” for The Gap, and even developed an Indigo Swing-branded video slot machine with IGT, the foremost supplier of gaming machines and gaming monitoring systems in the world.
